Job summary

Lincoln County School District Stanford Elementary School in Stanford, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Custodian to maintain clean, safe school facilities. You will perform routine cleaning, carpet care, restroom sanitation, floor care, and general maintenance while following district procedures.

Starting immediately, you will report to the School Principal or Designee; participate in summer cleaning projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic methods of cleaning floors, carpets and fixtures.
• Safe operation of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow safety precautions.
• Maintain building security and report hazards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial activities: sweep, mop, wash and polish floors; vacuum rugs and carpets.
• Clean classrooms, restrooms, showers, locker rooms, offices and related facilities.
• Clean drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, showers and urinals; disinfect as needed.
• Report safety hazards and maintenance needs; secure buildings and notify supervisor.
• Move furniture and arrange supplies for events; operate cleaning equipment as assigned.
• Lock/unlock doors; monitor security; assist with summer cleaning projects.
• Dispose of trash; clean windows, walls and other surfaces; maintain cleanliness standards.
