Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic methods, materials, tools and equipment used in custodial work and routine maintenance.
• Proper lifting techniques and safe handling of equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and reporting protocols.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax and polish floors; vacuum rugs and carpets in classrooms, offices and shops.
• Clean restrooms, lockers, cafeterias and related facilities; manage spill cleanups.
• Report hazards, maintenance needs and security concerns to supervisor.
• Move and arrange furniture for events; assist with special projects and summer cleaning.
• Lock/unlock doors and maintain security of buildings during shifts.
