Job summary

Clayton County Public Schools is seeking a Custodian II (School Based) at DREW HIGH SCHOOL in Riverdale, GA to maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitary conditions of the school facilities. This full-time position reports to the principal or designee.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms and common areas, operating custodial equipment, and performing setup for events. Must have a high school diploma or GED and English fluency; one year of experience preferred. Immediate start.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Fluent in English (read, write and speak).
• Minimum of one year of experience in commercial facility cleaning preferred.
• Familiarity with Word and Google email.

Responsibilities

• Cleans classrooms, restrooms, offices, dining areas; mops floors, vacuums, strips, buffs and wax floors, empties trash; cleans windows; picks up trash on school grounds as required/directed; changes light bulbs, replaces ceiling tiles, moves furniture, removes graffiti, and secures building on daily departure.
• Operates various commercial custodial equipment (scrubber, buffer, commercial vacuum, ladder, wet vacuum, shampoo machine). Maintains cleanliness of equipment and handles setup/breakdown for events.
• Maintains custodial inventory counts and orders supplies; keeps custodial closet clean and organized.
• Assists with District emergencies and/or general assignments as needed.
• All other duties as assigned to support the above services.
