Job summary

Brookside Charter School is seeking a Cleaning Custodian to manage day-to-day cleaning and custodial tasks across its facilities. This role requires clear communication with management, teachers, and staff, and supports a school-wide culture of respect and excellence.

The position is full-time and in-scope for a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have experience with cleaning equipment, safety procedures, and the ability to multitask while maintaining high standards, with flexibility

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long hours.
• Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Excellent communication with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition.
• Performs routine cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums floors and cleans restrooms.
• Gathers and empties trash and manages cleaning supplies inventory.
• Notifies managers about repairs or facility needs.
