Job summary

Charter Schools USA Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Day Custodian to keep school facilities clean, safe, and well maintained.

The role involves cleaning interior spaces such as hallways, restrooms, offices, classrooms, and multi-purpose rooms, as well as exterior areas including the building perimeter and parking areas. The custodian will also manage trash, sterilize high-use areas, and assist with maintenance tasks and emergencies in coordination with the Facilities team.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial trades and facilities maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and policies.
• Willingness to perform various duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas inside the school: hallways, restrooms, offices, classrooms and multipurpose spaces.
• Clean exterior areas: building perimeter, parking lot, playground and windows.
• Empty trash and maintain cleanliness of cafeteria and common areas.
• Follow OSHA and school safety procedures; report hazards to supervisor.
• Travel to nearby schools or storage facilities if required.
• Support with preventative maintenance tasks and handling emergencies as needed.
