Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; diploma not required for advancement options.
• Must understand and follow verbal and written instructions and directions.
• Basic cleaning skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Keep assigned area clean by dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, buffing, and waxing floors.
• Clean bathrooms, carpets, and dispose of trash and debris from buildings and grounds.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed to perform cleaning tasks.
• Assist with minor repairs and maintenance and grounds upkeep.
• Report repairs and safety concerns to Head Custodian.
• Operate cleaning equipment to strip, scrub, buff, and wax floors; maintain grounds.
• Assist in securing school building by turning off lights and locking doors/windows; may assist with opening.
• Perform other duties to support organization and student/staff safety.
