Fort Zumwalt School District at South Middle School in Saint Peters, MO seeks a Custodian for a split shift (10:30am - 7:00pm). The role focuses on providing a safe, clean, and attractive learning environment for staff and students.

The position reports to the Principal, is non-exempt, and requires handling both indoor and outdoor custodial tasks, with the possibility of occasional weather-related duties and town requirements.

Qualifications

• The custodian should demonstrate the ability to perform the tasks listed. Must complete assigned tasks in accordance with established time and quality control guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of building, premises, and entryways, neat and clean at all times.
• Clean classrooms, desktops, whiteboards, doors/windows, and floors daily.
• Clean bathrooms and restrooms; refill supplies; sweep and mop.
• Sweep/dust/mop/auto scrub hallways; wash water fountains.
• Inside: regulate HVAC for comfortable temperatures; raise/lower cafeteria tables; lock/unlock doors.
• Outside: raise/lower flag; keep grounds clean; manage dumpsters; perform grounds care.
• Load/unload storage of deliveries and supplies.
• Move furniture as required for activities and events.
• Attend district-required training and assist in setup/cleanup; ensure building security.
• Work in adverse weather; assist in shoveling snow when required.
