Job summary

Fort Zumwalt School District SS216 is seeking a Custodian to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff and students. The role requires performing daily cleaning tasks across classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and exterior areas while ensuring proper handling of supplies and adherence to district guidelines.

The position involves shifts, climate control adjustments, furniture movement, and participation in required trainings.

Qualifications

• The custodian should demonstrate the ability to perform the tasks listed.
• Must complete assigned tasks in accordance with established time and quality control guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of building, premises, and entryways, including stairways, sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, neat and clean at all times.
• Clean classrooms, bathrooms, and hallways daily according to standards.
• Manage interior responsibilities such as HVAC adjustments, lighting, and securing doors.
• Maintain exterior areas: grounds care, graffiti removal, snow removal, and wash windows.
• Load/unload deliveries and move furniture as required for activities.
• Attend district-required trainings and assist with event setup and cleanup.
• Possess ability to work in adverse weather conditions and shovel snow when required.
