Job summary

Bremerton School District 100-C is seeking a reliable Custodian to perform custodial and safety duties across district facilities. You will maintain cleanliness, security, and order in buildings, assist with event setup, and operate cleaning equipment with attention to safety procedures.

The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, good attendance, and a high school diploma or GED. You will work as part of a facilities team to support daily operations and campus upkeep.

Qualifications

• Prior custodial experience or successful trial period as a substitute custodian.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds and to read labels, MSDS, and instructions.
• Good attendance, punctuality, reliability, and neat appearance.

Responsibilities

• Learn all custodial functions including proper mixing of chemicals and proper running and cleaning of equipment.
• Open buildings and prepare them for use; ensure building security when not in use.
• Operate power equipment and hand tools for cleaning floors, walls, carpets, and furniture.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms; empty wastebaskets; dust furniture; sweep, mop, and polish floors.
• Set up and remove furniture for events; may use ladders and change light bulbs; restock supplies.
• Clean sidewalks, mow grass, and help maintain campus grounds.
