Job summary

Saint John Paul II Academy - High School is seeking a full-time Custodian to support the cleanliness and upkeep of its facilities. The role reports to the Principal and Facilities Manager, focusing on daily cleaning, supply management, and equipment maintenance.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of custodial experience, preferably in a school setting. A Texas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and reliability are essential for coordinating daily cleaning tasks and supplies.
• Ability to manage duties tactfully while interacting with students, staff, and visitors.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and moving cleaning equipment and supplies as needed.
• Cleanliness and safety protocols must be followed in all areas of the school facilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, classrooms, and all assigned areas daily.
• Clean and maintain restroom facilities and water fountains daily.
• Remove trash and manage disposal per local regulations.
• Maintain inventory of custodial supplies and report shortages.
• Move furniture and materials as required for cleaning or events.
• Attend trainings and school/parish events as directed by Principal or Facilities Manager.
