Job summary

HES is hiring custodians for Lowndes County, GA. The roles are full-time and part-time on the 2nd shift, aligned with school hours. Work involves cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and building interiors, with emphasis on proactive upkeep and timely response to requests.

Qualifications

• Be proactive in upkeep and repairs.
• Complete work requests to notify management of repairs.
• Organize custodial closets.
• Move, remove, and set up furniture for events.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Machine shampoo carpeting.
• Clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, window blinds, brass, and other interior fixtures
• Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
• Sweep entryways, wipe tables, empty trash cans immediately outside building entrances.
• Clean restrooms, plunge sinks and toilets, and replenish supplies.
• Be PROACTIVE.
• Complete work requests to notify management/admin of needed repair work, reliable and accountable.
• Organize and supply custodial closets as needed.
• Move, remove, and/or set up furniture, furnishings, supplies, equipment, and any other items, inside specified rooms for special functions as directed.
• Additional job-related duties as required by the supervisor.
