Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Custodial or janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Background check and clearance required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste per health and safety regulations.
• Restock cleaning supplies and report shortages or maintenance needs.
• Assist with setup and takedown of furniture and equipment for events.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Respond to cleaning requests and emergencies promptly.
• Collaborate with custodial staff and school personnel for efficient operations.
• Follow all safety protocols while performing tasks.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
