Job summary

Luling Independent School District is seeking a Custodial Worker to clean and maintain district facilities, ensuring safety, cleanliness and efficient operation of buildings and grounds across campuses in Luling, Texas.

Responsibilities include following cleaning schedules, operating equipment, basic repairs, and assisting with event setup. The role requires physical work, lifting up to 45 pounds, and adherence to district safety procedures. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 260 days per year.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning schedule that includes cleaning floors, boards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms.
• Keep building and grounds neat and clean, including sidewalks and parking areas.
• Assist in maintenance and minor repairs and report major repairs to the principal.
• Follow safety procedures and assist in setup for events.
