Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties in classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other campus areas at K-12 or higher education sites.

This role requires no specific degree; on-the-job training provided. You will follow safety procedures, maintain clean facilities, and collaborate with staff to keep school environments safe and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and offices.
• Sweep, mop floors, remove debris, and manage spills.
• Empty trash and manage recycling in designated areas.
• Follow safety procedures when using cleaners and power equipment.
• Communicate with clients, coworkers, and supervisors about needs.
• Assist with basic building maintenance and seasonal tasks as needed.
