Job summary

A+ Charter Schools in Dallas, Texas seeks a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across school facilities under the Operations department. The role is non-exempt and 260 days per year, reporting to the Custodial Manager.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and a Texas driver’s license. Training will be provided; experience is not required. Responsibilities cover cleaning schedules, safety compliance, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Texas driver's license (clear and valid) required.
• Willingness to be trained on site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning schedule including floors, walls, restrooms, and surfaces.
• Keep building and grounds neat including entryways, sidewalks, and parking areas.
• Remove and dispose of trash every 30-45 minutes during meals.
• Monitor HVAC for environmental comfort (Day custodian only).
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request additional items as needed.
• Advise supervisor when work orders are required for a location.
• Perform preventive maintenance on custodial equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Follow safety procedures for chemicals and equipment usage.
• Maintain professional appearance with appropriate uniform.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and reportUnsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Support the custodial team and adhere to district policies.
