Job summary

West Ada School District is seeking a Custodian to perform routine custodial, maintenance, cleaning, and groundskeeping tasks across school facilities. The role involves cleaning classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas, and supporting minor repairs and event setup.

The position reports to the Head Custodian or Night Supervisor, follows district safety practices, and may require work outdoors in varying weather. Strong English reading/writing and basic math skills are needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, tools and standard practices for public buildings.
• Understanding of safety procedures when cleaning and moving furniture.
• Ability to operate, maintain and perform minor repairs on custodial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial tasks in classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, gyms, cafeterias and labs.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, dust surfaces, clean windows, and manage waste.
• Assist in basic maintenance and setup for events, and maintain inventory of supplies.
