Job summary

Enid Public Schools is seeking an EHS Custodian at Enid High School in Enid, Oklahoma. The role starts immediately and offers paid health benefits for the employee. Pay is $13.10 per hour with 11-month calendar established by the Board.

The custodian will perform routine cleaning, minor repairs, and maintenance, working under supervision with no required supervisory duties. Employment includes responsibilities for safety, security and adherence to district standards.

Qualifications

• Skill in using cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Knowledge of school standards for cleanliness; of assigned work areas; of cleaning methods and procedures.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions; to maintain physical stamina for heavy manual labor; to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, waxes and polishes floors; vacuums carpets and dusts furniture.
• Washes windows, woodwork, fixtures; empties waste baskets and ashtrays.
• Operates and maintains buffers, vacuums and other janitorial equipment.
• Restrooms supplies; disposes trash; disinfects and deodorizes areas.
• Replaces light bulbs and basic repairs; maintains storage rooms.
