West Hoke Middle School in Raeford, NC is hiring for the 2026-2027 Custodian/Bus Driver (12 months). Starting date immediately, reports to Custodial Supervisor and Transportation Director, terms of employment 12 months.

The position combines custodial duties and bus driving responsibilities with hourly wages: Custodian $16.07 and Bus Driver $18.00, non-exempt. Must have a high school diploma or GED, NC CDL with endorsements, and pass DOT drug testing.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• NC commercial driver’s license with proper endorsements and a current Bus Driver Pocket Card.
• Minimum age of 18 with at least six months of driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no DWI convictions.
• Must pass DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Knowledge of cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms and offices.
• Cleans and sanitizes water fountains, dusts furniture, disposes trash, and performs light groundskeeping.
• Manage inventory and requisition cleaning supplies as needed; report larger issues to supervisor.
• Open/close buildings and ensure security at start and end of day.
• Operate school bus on assigned routes; transport students safely and maintain discipline.
• Complete transportation reports and communicate route changes as needed.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip bus inspections and report issues to Transportation Director.
• Adhere to all safety, traffic, and school transportation policies.
