How BrightBee Works: You’ll be an essential part of our dynamic workforce as an independent contractor, ready to respond and commute to on-site work opportunities at nearby K-12 schools and nonprofits via the BrightBee app. You’ll be able to pick which work assignments match your experience, preferences, and schedule and will never have to take on an assignment that you don’t feel is a fit for you.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to :

• Cleaning the various classrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, offices, lavatories, and any and all other assigned areas within the building, which may include the following:
• Sweep, mop, wet-wash, wax and vacuum assigned floor areas;
• Dust, clean, and polish furniture and fixtures in assigned areas;
• Empty and clean waste paper baskets;
• Clean/wash mirrors, desks, tables, chairs, sinks, chalkboard, pencil sharpeners, etc.
• Maintain all equipment, materials, and supplies in an orderly manner for most efficient and effective use;
• Insure that all assigned building areas are secured after completion of tasks;
• Report any acts of vandalism, broken equipment, broken windows and fixtures, or non-operating lighting fixtures to the head custodian and/or assistant custodian.

• An individual with a genuine enthusiasm for working alongside children and youth along with alignment to our mission of supporting workers, students, and schools while promoting academic success.
• Related work experience within the custodial industry.
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to public and charter schools within the applicant region, required.
• Ability to quickly adapt to varying school environments and perform without constant supervision.
• Dependability and punctuality are vital for fulfilling on-demand job opportunities efficiently.
• Prior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check, livescan and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances. Rest assured, we will guide you through the process!
