Job summary

AERRC is seeking a School Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and functional school environment. The role includes inspecting areas, performing routine maintenance, and minor repairs while working independently to meet daily needs.

Requirements include 1 year of cleaning experience, ability to work with minimal supervision, basic building maintenance knowledge, and a valid Alaska driver’s license with access to military installations.

Job Summary:

The School Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment within school facilities. Key duties include inspecting assigned areas to ensure cleanliness and operational standards are met, conducting routine maintenance checks, and performing minor repairs. This role involves general cleaning of interior and exterior spaces, addressing routine and emergency maintenance needs, and collaborating with staff and administrators to support school operations. The custodian reports inspection findings to the Custodial Manager and completes various facility-related tasks while working independently to meet daily operational requirements.

New Hire Hourly Rate:

Grade 6: $21.60 - $24.14 DOE

Internal Hourly Rate:

Determined by the ESSA Negotiated Agreement

Work Hours:

7.5 hours per day

Work Year:

12 months
