Qualifikationen

• Two years of teaching experience.
• Strong experience in behavioral intervention and management techniques.

• Background check required by law.

Aufgaben

• Supports the implementation of student discipline practices in alignment with the Duval County Public Schools Code of Student Conduct, including counseling students and communicating with parents/guardians regarding behavioral concerns.
• Assists in ensuring the Code of Student Conduct is distributed, communicated, and understood by students, families, and staff. Supports staff training and guidance related to student behavior expectations and procedures.
• Provides proactive student support, preventive counseling, and early intervention strategies to address behavioral concerns before formal disciplinary action becomes necessary.
• Refers students to appropriate school‑based guidance, counseling, and support services as needed.
• Assists with student suspension procedures and documentation in accordance with district policies and regulations.
• Collaborates with students, families, teachers, and school leaders to address attendance concerns, behavioral challenges, and classroom‑related issues.
• Supports the development, coordination, and implementation of school‑wide Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) initiatives and culture‑building programs.
• Monitors and supports daily school routines and procedures, including hallways, classrooms, cafeterias, transitions, and common areas, to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Builds positive relationships with students and staff to reinforce expectations, promote accountability, and foster a supportive school culture.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Manager of School Culture.
