Town of Groton Police Department is seeking two part-time School Crossing Guards in Groton, CT. The School Crossing Guard directs and controls the flow of vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic at crossings primarily used by school children. When authorized, the Crossing Guard may issue citations for violations of traffic regulations, or for failure to comply with directions. The Crossing Guard may be required to perform duties related to the safety of children in areas other than at crossings and at times other than during school hours provided that such assignments have been properly authorized.
