The counselor will collaborate with families and school staff to promote student success and equity, addressing concerns such as mental health, suicide risk, and student well-being within the ASCA framework.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a accredited school counseling program.
• Experience in full-time teaching or school guidance and counseling.
• Eligibility for/licensure as a school counselor in Virginia (LPC preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support personal-social, mental health, academic needs, and college/career readiness of each student.
• Provide individual counseling and small group counseling on data-driven topics.
• Develop and deliver classroom instruction aligned with ASCA standards.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness and equity.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and administrators to promote student success.
• Interpret school objectives to students, parents, and the community.
