Cherokee County Schools Central Office seeks a qualified School Counselor to support students at Peachtree Elementary. The role focuses on personal-social growth, academic planning, and career development for a diverse student population.

Responsibilities include counseling, program planning, consultation with families and staff, coordinating services, and using the LMS for virtual learning modules. Licensed counselors in NC are preferred with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a Master’s degree in counseling or equivalent.
• Must be licensed by the NC Department of Public Instruction in counseling or able to obtain licensure.

Responsabilités

• Establish and evaluate the school counseling program with staff involvement.
• Provide individual and group counseling to meet student needs.
• Consult with students, parents, teachers and community to support students’ needs.
• Coordinate counseling services and support student services within the school.
• Accurately interpret test results and student data to inform placements.
• Adhere to ethical standards and participate in professional development.
• Utilize the LMS for online learning programs and attend trainings.
