Job summary

Monticello Middle School seeks a long-term substitute School Counselor to support students with social, emotional and behavioral challenges and to facilitate communication among school, home and community providers.

The licensed candidate will work 1.0 FTE with responsibilities including direct/indirect student services and supervision during non-academic activities, with preference for experience with middle school students and CLR methods.

Qualifications

• Current School Counselor license with the Minnesota Department of Education.
• Experience working with middle school students is preferred.
• Experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred.
• Awareness of best practices for student counseling and procedures.

Job Summary

The School Counselor provides direct and indirectservices to students experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioral problems that interfere with their performance in school, and facilitates communication among school, home and community providers.

Licensure

• Current School Counselor license with the Minnesota Department of Education

Experience

• Experience in school counseling preferred
