Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college with approved school counseling program.
• Experience as a school counselor or teacher in a full-time capacity.
• Eligible for appropriate licensure; LPC may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support personal-social, mental health, academic needs and college/career readiness for every student.
• Provide individual counseling for personal issues such as home/family relations, peer relations, health and emotional adjustment.
• Conduct small group counseling on topics like study skills, social skills, anger management, self-esteem, grief.
• Deliver classroom instruction every 2–3 weeks promoting personal-social, career and college readiness and bullying prevention.
• Develop a Comprehensive School Counseling Program aligned with ASCA model.
• Collect and analyze data on program effectiveness with emphasis on equity and student-centered outcomes.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and community to support student achievement and wellness.
• Communicate school objectives to students, parents, and the community.
