Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a School Counselor (11-month) to design and implement a comprehensive counseling program aligned with the Polk County Developmental Guidance Plan. The role covers education, prevention, intervention, and advocacy to promote student achievement and equity.

The counselor will deliver individual and group counseling, coordinate with teachers and staff, and ensure referrals as needed while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with Florida standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counselor Education or Guidance and Counseling.
• Valid Florida certification in Guidance and Counseling, K-12.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, evaluate and enhance a comprehensive school counseling program.
• Deliver direct services addressing guidance curriculum, individual planning, preventive and responsive services.
• Provide group and individual counseling, consult with teachers and staff, and refer students as appropriate.
