Birch Agency is seeking a School Counselor for a part-time, in-person role in Lambertville, Michigan. The schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with immediate start.

You will provide individual and group counseling, support students with goal setting, and collaborate with teachers and families to address concerns. Experience in schools and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field.
• Valid Michigan School Counselor certification or eligibility for certification.
• Experience providing counseling in a school setting preferred.
• Knowledge of student support services, special education processes, and intervention strategies.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school personnel.

Responsabilités

• Provide individual and small-group counseling to support students' social, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs.
• Assist students with goal setting, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and self-advocacy skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff to identify and address student concerns.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, student support meetings, and intervention planning.
• Support the implementation of school-wide social-emotional learning initiatives and positive behavior supports.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
• Monitor student progress and recommend evidence-based interventions and supports.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
• Serve as a resource for students and families regarding academic planning, attendance concerns, and community resources.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school climate.

Schedule: 2 Days Per Week (Tuesday and Thursday 8 AM to 12 PM)

Position Responsibilities
