Job summary

Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, seeks a School Counselor in Albany, NY, with both full-time and part-time options. The role focuses on advocating for students, supporting their social, emotional, and academic growth, and coordinating with families and teachers to access community resources.

Responsibilities include counseling in small groups and classrooms, conducting assessments, maintaining paperwork, and staying current with guidance trends to foster a safe, inclusive school

Qualifications

• Masters degree in school counseling or school social work is required and NYS certification/license is required.
• Experience with counseling in K-12 settings is preferred.

Play a critical role in supporting the behavioral, personal, emotional, and social development of students. • Positively impact students’ educational, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being.
• Nurture student potential through personalized, small-group, and classroom counseling, focusing on academic, emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs.
• Conduct learning assessments to reveal students' strengths and areas for growth, informing referrals as needed.
• Empower parents and school staff by connecting them with community resources that align with students' unique needs.
• Ensure administrative excellence by completing accurate, efficient paperwork.
• Stay updated on field trends to enhance guidance and support for students.
• Foster trust and reliability by adhering to the Counseling Policy Manual, funding guidelines, and school procedures.

Qualifications
