Job summary

AfriThrive Inc in Prince George’s County seeks a School & Community Market Coordinator to manage AfriThrive’s school and community food markets, coordinating sites, volunteers, and family participation to create a welcoming market experience.

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will maintain accurate service data, support market operations, collaborate with school liaisons and community partners, and travel regularly between assigned locations.

Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant professional or volunteer experience in community programs, food distribution, school engagement, customer service, or event coordination.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate people, supplies, and schedules.
• Experience working respectfully with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Attention to detail and experience maintaining records, entering data, and using spreadsheets or databases.

Responsibilities

• Market Operations: coordinate market schedules, site access, setup, food displays, replenishment, cleanup, and closeout.
• School, Community & Family Engagement: collaborate with school liaisons and community site partners on family outreach, registration, reminders, and market arrangements; welcome participants and support check-in and shopping.
• Data, Documentation & Reporting: enter timely records of households served, pounds of food distributed, attendance, and market summaries; protect participant confidentiality.
