Job summary

Denver Public Schools seeks a program leader to partner with Prevention Services and district teams to build equitable behavioral supports and restorative practices across schools. You will guide leaders to create belonging, document discipline data, and share program insights with district leadership to drive system-level improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • One or more years managing programs and processes in an educational setting.
  • Commitment to racial and educational equity and serving all students with dignity.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical consultation and guidance to school teams to apply Positive School Culture, Trauma-Informed Practices, Restorative Practices and Equitable Behavior Supports.
  • Guides school leadership in building a culture of belonging and identifying systems impacting the learning community.
  • Educates and empowers administrators, instructional teams, coordinators and staff through data-driven conversations to improve discipline outcomes.
  • Collaborates with Culture, Equity and Leadership Team, Bully Prevention, Whole Child, Special Education, and Family and Community Engagement to create sustainable systems.
  • Helps develop and implement training plans to support improvement of adult experiences by building skills and providing resources.
  • Facilitates monthly meetings and ongoing communications to discuss best practices and goals.
  • Identifies process problems and provides proactive coaching to build capacity through research-based practices.
