Job Description

The School Clerk supports the daily operations of the high school office, ensuring efficient administrative procedures and effective communication within the school community.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or USA equivalency
  • One year of office experience, including test coordinating
  • Basic typing skills at 40 wpm
  • Ability to complete assignments with close supervision
  • Effective communication skills with staff, students, and the public
  • Regular and punctual attendance

Responsibilities

  1. Organize and manage routine office activities
  2. Coordinate activities related to the office's special needs
  3. Maintain filing systems and process incoming correspondence
  4. Handle telephone calls and recorded messages
  5. Type documents and correspondence as required
  6. Order and maintain supplies
  7. Process district forms accurately
  8. Respond to inquiries from employees and the public efficiently
  9. Communicate effectively with staff, principals, teachers, and external contacts in oral and written forms
  10. Use computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and project management tools
  11. Prepare periodic status reports for supervisors
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned

Work Environment

The noise level is usually moderate. Travel within the district is required. Due to the nature of the position, remote work is not an option; regular attendance at the campus is essential.
