Qualifications

  • One year of experience performing skilled carpentry.
  • Ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform a full range of carpentry work including repair, remodeling, and new construction projects.
  • Repair and replace ceiling tiles; lay floors including wood, VCT, and sheet vinyl.
  • Install or repair doors, windows, and fixtures as needed.
  • Maintain and operate a variety of carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Construct and repair classroom and office furniture and fixtures.
  • Assist in maintaining records of labor, materials, and costs.
  • Safely operate district fleet vehicle to travel to job sites and report maintenance needs.
  • Perform related work as assigned.
