Chartwells K-12 in North Providence, RI is hiring a full-time FOO UNIT LEAD to supervise food-service staff and ensure a positive dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.

Prior food service and supervisory experience is preferred. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with hours varying, and a fixed pay rate of $18.00 per hour. This position is part of Compass Group USA, focused on safe, high-quality meals in an educational setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of other food-service employees.
• Creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors.
• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items per standards.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Trains employees and assigns work to promote efficiency.
• Manages schedules and completes reports (inventory, payroll, timekeeping).
• Directs sanitation and safety in the facility.
