Job summary

The Northborough-Southborough Public Schools are seeking a Substitute Food Services Team Member for the Southborough, MA area. The role supports the Food Services Department and reports to the Food Services Manager. The position ranges from 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day during the school day.

Responsibilities include food preparation, serving, cash handling with Mosaic POS, and ensuring food safety and sanitation. Must be reliable and able to work with students and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to work with students, staff and Administration.
• Manual dexterity to handle knives and kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Serve and present food visually.
• Use Mosaic POS to process transactions.
• Operate ovens, slicers, steamers, stoves, warmers, and dishwashers.
• Follow safe food handling and sanitation guidelines.
• Prepare food according to recipes from the Food Services Manager.
• Assist cooks and other team members with tasks.
• Maintain regular and on-time attendance for student support.
