Job summary

Nashoba Valley Technical High School is seeking a Cafeteria Worker to join our team, supporting meal service for students in multiple district towns in Westford, MA. The role focuses on food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining a clean, organized cafeteria environment.

Position is approximately 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am–2:00pm during the school year. A ServSafe certification is encouraged, and a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe food handling practices in school settings.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and directions.
• Ability to perform basic math and cash handling procedures.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with staff and students.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred; ServSafe certification not required but desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of school meals, including setup, cooking, wrapping and baking.
• Serve meals to students as instructed.
• Clean kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Check student meal eligibility lists.
• Prepare cash register for lunch service and document receipts.
