Job summary

The Nutrition Group is seeking a Substitute Food Service Worker for Philadelphia Academy Charter School's kitchen. This position works on an as-needed basis, assisting with cooking, food preparation, portioning, and serving under USDA and state guidelines.

You will support sanitation, HACCP compliance, and inventory controls, while occasionally handling cash; reliability and willingness to learn are essential. Prior food service experience is preferred, and strong interpersonal skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Must obtain clearances and pass criminal background checks
• Ability to read recipes and basic math skills required
• A positive and consistent work ethic
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• A willingness to learn and grow within your position
• Food service experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
