Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools is hiring for a cafeteria position. You will perform routine food preparation tasks, set up serving lines, assist with cleaning, and help ensure meals meet guidelines while serving students and staff in a friendly manner.

The role requires a Food Handlers Card (where applicable), a High School Diploma or equivalent, and prior food prep/handling experience is preferred. Travel between campuses may be required and you will operate kitchen equipment safely.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Handlers Card may be required.
• Previous experience in food preparation and handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine food preparation tasks, such as cutting up fruits and vegetables, making and wrapping sandwiches and salads.
• Set up and stock work areas with all necessary ingredients and equipment.
• Assist with daily cleaning duties in the cafeteria including cleaning equipment and work areas, mopping, operating dishwasher and/or scrubbing pots and pans.
• Serve students and staff in a cheerful and helpful manner.
• Safely operate standard and specialized kitchen equipment per guidelines.
