Job summary

Chambersburg Area School District is seeking a Food Service Aide to support meal service and student safety in the cafeteria and surrounding areas. Under the direct supervision of the building Principal, you will help supervise students during mealtime, assist with food distribution, and ensure trays and waste are handled properly.

The role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and a respectful, orderly environment. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises students in the cafeteria during mealtime.
• Helps maintain clean tables and surrounding areas.
• Supervises playground and classroom areas during lunch hours.
• Assists with serving and distributing food, disposing of waste, and returning trays.
• Ensures students remain seated in assigned areas and circulates to assist as needed.
• Reports safety concerns or incidents to teachers, principal, nurse, or security.
