Newport News Public Schools is seeking a food service worker for the 2026-2027 school year. The position involves preparation and serving of food, cleaning kitchen equipment and the facility, and other duties designated by the manager.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, serving customers, handling money, operating dish-room tasks, and adhering to safety standards. Training will be provided, with nondiscriminatory practices emphasized.

Formación

• Ability to read and write in English and follow written and oral instructions.
• Possession of, or the ability to obtain a Food Handlers card.
• Ability to complete written forms and records.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and serve food according to procedures and standards.
• Maintain sanitation standards as required by health offices.
• Serve customers promptly and accurately, handling money if needed.
