Job summary

Centinela Valley Union High School District in Lawndale, CA is seeking a Nutrition Services Assistant I for a part-time schedule (3.75 hours daily, 10 months). You will assist with preparing, warming, and serving meals to students and staff, while maintaining the kitchen and food service areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition.

The position offers an hourly wage range of $20.09 to $24.14, with progression from Step 1 to Step 5, and a promotional/open recruitment process.

Qualifications

Experience – At least six (6) months of experience in school, commercial, institutional or retail foodservice, or manufacturing.
Education – Graduation from high school, or equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade, is desired but not required.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Possession of or the ability to pass a ServSafe® (or an equivalent) food handler certification test within the first six months of employment in this classification.
