Job summary

Mount Pleasant School District is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals, follow sanitation and HACCP procedures, and assist with daily nutrition service operations in the school environment.

You will contribute to a safe, efficient food service program, support cashier tasks if required, and ensure quality and customer service for students and staff. Work is indoors during school hours with flexible duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows USDA and sanitation regulations for the school nutrition program.
• Prepares, serves and cleans all food items and equipment as directed by the Manager/Director.
• Verifies food quality and maintains HACCP procedures.
• Completes cleaning logs, production records and temperature logs.
• Assists with operating the school food service computer system.
• Attends in-service meetings and trainings as scheduled.
• Provides good customer service to staff, students, and other customers.
• Performs food preparation or service for special functions as assigned.
• Reports unsafe equipment or hazards to the Manager.
• Implements HACCP plan and related processes.
• Performs duties of other nutrition staff as needed.
