Job summary

Roane County Schools is seeking a School Nutrition Employee to join the cafeteria team. You will assist with food preparation, serve meals, and help maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment following all required guidelines.

Must be able to lift 30–40 pounds, stand for long periods, and follow oral and written instructions. A high school diploma or GED is required; hours may vary to meet daily meal service needs.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated high school or GED equivalent.
• Physically able to lift 30–40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Desirable: dependable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation.
• Assist preparing ingredients for salads, sandwiches, and cold plates.
• Set up condiments, hot and cold food, and paper supplies.
• Operates kitchen appliances and equipment.
• Wash and sanitize pots, pans, utensils and equipment.
• Assist with the cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen.
• Perform various kitchen duties as needed.
• Comply with all Federal, State and Local policies, procedures, rules, regulations and guidelines.
