Job summary

Oak Hill Middle School in Sabattus, Maine is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker (6 hrs/day) to help prepare, cook, and serve nutritious meals for students. The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to sanitation standards in a school kitchen.

Reporting to the Food Service Manager and Director of Operations, the ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent and knowledge of food service operations, with training in sanitation and food handling safety.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining a high standard of nutrition for all students.
• Works as a team member with staff at assigned school.
• Operates necessary equipment in an efficient, safest, and fastest way at maximum capacity.
• Assists in preparing, cooking, and serving the meals at the assigned school.
• Follows established sanitation procedures.
• Assists with student money, meal accountability, and necessary paperwork as may be required by the Food Service Manager and/or Food Service Director.
• Responsible for the washing and sanitizing of food service utensils.
• Performs such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Food Service Manager and/or Food Service Director.
