Auburn School Department seeks a part-time Kitchen Assistant Spare at Washburn Elementary School in Auburn, ME to assist in daily meal preparation and service. The role involves maintaining sanitation, completing temperature logs, and supporting nutrition program documentation and student-centered service.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, CHRC clearance, basic computer skills, and kitchen experience.

Competenze

High School diploma or GED is required.
Criminal History Record check (CHRC) through the Dept. of Education is required.

Mansioni

Assist in preparing daily school meals on time and per menu.
Maintain safety and cleanliness following sanitation and food safety guidelines.
Maintain temperature logs and cleaning schedules for equipment and kitchen space.
Work scheduled hours.
Assist with state production records for nutritional compliance.
Assist with receiving shipments and proper storage/rotation of food and supplies.
Provide high level of customer service to students and staff.
Daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils and tables.
Promote healthy eating and student-centered cafeteria environment.
Maintain cordial relations with staff and lunchroom customers.
Consult with kitchen supervisor on personnel and operation matters.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the school nutrition program.
Perform other duties assigned by Kitchen Manager or Supervisor.
