Job summary

Upper Moreland Township School District is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker to support the Food Services department. The role involves preparing and serving meals for students, maintaining kitchen and cafeteria areas, and ensuring HACCP compliance.

Responsibilities include food prep, operating the serving line, cleaning, and assisting with special events. Must lift up to 50 pounds and work in a busy school cafeteria with a 10-month schedule and non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of weights, measures and portion control.
• Ability to understand and follow performance directions.
• Ability to interact with students.
• Travel to various school district buildings as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks to facilitate provision of meals under NSLP and HACCP regulations.
• Prepare hot and cold food items as assigned.
• Prepare serving lines and serve meals for each lunch period.
• Complete daily tasks assigned by Food Service Manager/AFSD.
• Operate vending/ catered events as needed.
• Safe operation of cafeteria equipment and sanitation per HACCP.
