Job summary

Upper Moreland Township School District is seeking a Substitute Food Service Worker to assist with meal preparation, serving, and cafeteria operations on a per-diem basis.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and interact with students while following food safety guidelines. Hourly rate is $15.00 and duties include food preparation, serving lines, and sanitation under HACCP procedures.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of weights, measures and portion control.
• Ability to understand and follow performance directions.
• Ability to interact with students.
• Ability to travel to various school district buildings as necessary.
• Must complete and maintain background checks and comply with district requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold food items and serve meals during lunch periods.
• Set up serving lines and operate serving areas for each lunch period.
• Review and complete daily tasks as assigned by the Food Service Manager/Director.
• Assist with vending operations and catering for special events as directed.
• Safely operate cafeteria equipment and maintain sanitation per HACCP procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
