Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools in Minnesota is seeking a Cafés Assistant - Float for all district locations. This 5-hour per day role covers multiple sites within the Wayzata Cafés department, with scheduling around 9:00am - 2:00pm.

The position is non-benefit eligible and requires experience in institutional kitchen, ability to handle quantity food production, and basic math. You will assist with food preparation, serving and related duties, rotating between locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have previous related experience working in an institutional kitchen.
• Must have experience with quantity food production.
• Basic math and computational skills are required.
• Must be able to communicate directions, ideas and concepts.
• Ability to perform computer entry and use of institutional food service equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains knowledge of district policies and procedures.
• Confers with supervisor to understand work priorities and information.
• Maintains cooperative workplace relationships for a pleasant environment.
• Performs food preparation duties as outlined in the position summary.
• Performs duties related to preparation, serving and clean up of meals.
• Attends in-service or district training to stay current on policies.
• Keeps supervisor informed of important matters to minimize downtime or safety problems.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
