Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking a school cafeteria cook to prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and tested recipes. You will ensure finished dishes meet quality and safety standards before serving, while maintaining a clean kitchen and dining area.

You will assist with food prep, inventory, and meal service, supporting a positive, nutritious lunch program for students and staff. A High School Diploma or GED and a Food Handler's card are required.

Qualifications

• Six months of food handling service.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Food handlers card required.
• Basic math and reading recipes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking foods according to recipes and safety standards.
• Serve and replenish food supply for meals.
• Clean cafeteria and kitchen areas and sanitize equipment.
• Prepare cafeteria for meals and monitor utensils and servings.
• Assist with inventory counts and food usage after meals.
• Perform other duties as needed.
