Job summary

Choctaw-Nicoma Park Public School District Child Nutrition in Choctaw, Oklahoma, is hiring a Cook for a 164/166 day contract. The role involves food preparation, serving meals to students, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

The position reports to the Child Nutrition Site Supervisor and offers responsibilities aligned with ESPO Master Contract guidelines. Starting immediately, salary is determined per district contract terms.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Must be capable of physical labor and meet all qualifications as set forth in the attached physical jobdescription.
• Demonstrate a cheerful attitude, good personal hygiene and ability to work.
• Fulfill requirements for promptness and good attendance habits.
• Demonstrate good work habits and effective use of time.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
• Assumes responsibility for seeing to it that during meal service periods the supply of food is replenished regularly.
• Assists in the daily cleanup of the kitchen and service area.
• Performs major cleaning of refrigerators and storage rooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the cook.
• Assumes responsibility for storage and disposal of unused food.
• Performs such other cafeteria duties as prescribed by the Director of Child Nutrition and/or Child Nutrition Site Supervisor.
